On April 8–9, 2026, the 12th edition of the MIFOD International Waste Management Forum took place at Targi Kielce. This year’s event was once again organized by the MIFOD Foundation in cooperation with the Marshal of the Świętokrzyskie Province and Targi Kielce, as well as with the active participation of the previous organizer— AK NOVA Sp. z o.o.
THEME: Technologies and systems shaping the future of the economy
This year’s discussions focused on modern technologies and systems shaping the future of waste management—from smart bins and data analytics, through advanced sorting and fermentation technologies, to costs, regulations, and deposit-refund systems. Speakers—representatives from academia, local governments, the technology sector, and legal experts—demonstrated how technology is becoming the backbone of an effective, circular waste management system.

WHAT'S NEW IN THIS EDITION
This year, we said goodbye to the paper program! Each participant received an interactive NFC keychain featuring the MIFOD logo, which, when held up to a phone, opened the conference schedule page and, after the event, provided access to all the speakers’ presentations. Eco-friendly and modern! ♻️
